It was a sunny 3rd of May at the East Coast Park. And 31 believers ranging from the young to the elderly were ready for the church’s combined services baptism. One very large, very extended clan of  different age groups and races and services, including the deaf, gathered to witness this baptism and celebrate the joy of being one family in Christ. It was a beautiful sight and a wonderful fellowship in the Spirit. Food and drink were shared; children played together; posing and photo taking; talking and visiting with friends and relatives of those who were to be baptized; all in a relaxed atmosphere on the beach on a fine Sunday. It was quite a sight. What were people thinking when they saw this big group together like that? They must be thinking, “This cannot be some company function or community event because they seem more like relatives, or close friends.” The body language and group interaction and dynamics spoke volumes. The baptism itself would certainly identify this as  a Christian church. And people would then know who we were. “How lovely it is for brethren to dwell together in unity…for there the Lord commands His blessing.” If love is not the greatest, then tell me what is?
