mclm

MCLM (Monthly Cell Leaders’ Meeting) is held every 2nd week of the month after youth service. It is a time when all the Youth Cell Leaders and mclmLabourers meet together to share both the joys and the struggles of leading  youth cells. Facilitated by the SPARKS committee and under the guidance of Pastor Mary, the leaders share reports of their cells, and encourage one another with the work that the Lord has set in motion in their cells. Apart from giving feedback and proposing ideas, the leaders are also equipped by Pastor Mary’s sharing and strengthened to persevere in our service to the Lord most High. (report by Elaine Chee)

Thank God for Pastor Thomas who encouraged all cell groups to rest on the 4th week of every month. We literally took his advice but all of us felt we should make it an outing for friendship. Praise the Lord we managed to get some complimentary entrance tickets. We believe in cell outings as it is indeed a good tool to bring pre-believers to come to a very relaxed and non-threatening environment. This was how Micheal Cuevas came to know the Lord and joined our cell group in May 2008.

We invited a total of more than 8 guests. One couple was very touched by our No Strings Attached invitation as all the guests did not have to pay. Two of the guests were ready to come to Alpha in July when they were invited by Ben and Michael.

By the way our cell adopted a cell fund which we collect $5 from each michaels-friendsperson every month for such events. It is a very good practice as it lessen the load if one have to pay a big amount when we organize events like this. Thank God for Kay who insist to have a cell fund.

The next outing…The Southern Ridges Walk….
