At our main church services you’ll find a good mixture of people from all age groups and backgrounds. Dressing is casual. While the main English Service is on, the children from 3 years to 12 years are having Children’s Church and pastoral care groups. The English and Chinese Service and Children’s Church runs concurrently, starting and ending at about the same time. Parking at the church premises are limited but there is sufficient free parking at the HDB blocks nearby, and also along the many surrounding streets. Sometimes it takes a little longer than expected so you may want to arrive a few minutes early.Services are approximately one hour and a half long with thirty minutes of praise and worship and thirty minutes of teaching. Our worship style is contemporary featuring present day praise songs and since worship is primarily our response to God, we aim to sing songs that turn our attention towards God, and that exalt Jesus Christ. At the conclusion of praise and worship, the senior pastor will preach and teach from the Bible. Sometimes an invitation will be given to invite people to the front for prayers. Every first Sunday of the month we share in holy communion as part of the service. After the service, you can have a cup of coffee or tea and get to know some people
Cell groups meet on a Friday night at about 8pm and it usually ends at 10pm or earlier. These meetings are informal meetings held in homes and people come in casual clothes and in a relaxed mood. The meeting usually begins with an icebreaker and moves on into praise songs and sharing of lives. Then the Sunday’s sermon is discussed and applied in a practical way to our life situations. This discussion is facilitated by a cell leader or an able cell member. At the end we share and pray for one another. This is concluded with food and fellowship. An edifying night. The cell groups meet only on the first three Fridays (or Saturdays) of the month, and if there are more weeks, the cell group will rest or have an optional outing.
Our desire is that everyone who attends WRPF grows spiritually as they are grounded in the doctrine of the full work of Christ. Out of the overflow of what God has done, and His love for us, we believe people will be enabled to follow the Lord in worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism/missions. We want members to grow as disciples who are involved in evangelism and missions; reflecting the fruit of the Spirit and releasing the gifts of the Spirit; experiencing intimacy and intercession in prayer; and engaged in making disciples in the cell groups.
Attending church can give some anxious moments to new visitors. We try to ease this discomfort by providing some useful information here:
