Retirement lunch
We held a farewell lunch with Pat Ho, 62 on Tuesday. It has been 13 years since Pat joined the team as a church secretary. She was well received and loved by the congregation and worked with diligence, thoroughness and responsibility. Often she desplayed a willingness to put in the extra hours to get things done. She starts clearing her leave on Friday, 18th June until her retirement on 6th July 2010. She will have a well deserved rest, before she looks at different work and volunteer options.

Wild Rockets
We ate at Wild Rockets. The celebrity chef is Willie Low, a friend of Pastor Chua. Hidden at a quiet side of Mt Sophia, after St Margaret’s Primary School, this gem of a restaurant serves good quality stuff. Several adventurous pastors
ate escargot – euphemism for snails. It was a happy occasion and we enjoyed the food and the fellowship. We posed with the celebrity chef and went back satisfied without any sense of feeling bloated.

Hi Pat,
Thank you so much for serving WRPF and at times we are very demanding and do forgive us if we have ever mistreated you.
Indeed you are a hardworking sister who is early to work and knock off late in the evening.
There are so many things to thank you like the followings:
1. Lost and found. We often forget this and that and you ran an extra mile to comb thru the church auditorium and find it for us.
2. Breaking down of aircons. Whenever I feed back to you, the next moment you act on it calling the technicians to rectify it without complaints.
3. Biscuit, coffee and tea. You often think for us, which is the most popular ones and you ordered for us.
4. Duty Rosters for ushers and cafeteria duties. Thanks for updating them and printing it in the bulletin.
5. Baptism Sunday’s lunch. Thanks for coordinating them so that everyone of us can enjoy the food and fellowship at the beach.
6. Providing phone numbers to us when we wanted to contact WRPF members but did not save in our handphone.
Most of all, your patience and love for WRPF people who may take you for granted and you behind the scenes, serving us faithfully. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
Hi Pat
Hope you read this posting!!
However, glad that still managed to catch a glimpse of you on your last day, Fri 18 Jun.
The last few yrs, whenever, i dropped by the office to chit-chat with you, that was often after a job interview! And each time after those mtg-up, news would come days later– I got the Job!!!
I enjoyed your friendship, fellowship and talking and exchanging views with you and sharing on things the Lord has taught us at those moments….
THe Lord shall supply all your needs, according to His riches in glory in Christ, Jesus …..
You will be missed

Hi Pat,
My apologies. Not forgetting also the big bottles of mineral water and the form cups and the little makan stuff you placed on the table for our gnk core group meetings. We will miss you and your thoughtfullnes, for sure.
13 years… it is a long time. I would like to thank you for your sweet response whenever I called the church office for help – to print the gnk teachers schedule, the children attendance, to insert this and that in the church bulletin. And you have always acceded to my request without a hint of impatience even though I sometimes gave you, eh..quite short notice
Have a good break first before you venture on the next phase.
God Bless,
Judith
