Alpha Weekend Away was held at YWCA Fort Canning Lodge and was attended by more than 50 people both from our church as well as friends from our Brother Paul’s Alpha Workplace.
The event was peppered with exciting games, worship sessions and discussion time.
After a scrumptious dinner, we watched yet another video, we invited the Holy Spirit to be present and Its manifestation during the prayer time was wonderful!
3 friends prayed for salvation during prayer time and everyone had a most wonderful time basking in the presence and power of God.
Here are some snaps from the event.

We start off the day's event with good ol' line dancing led by Wee Khoon!

Introducing the men with the awesome dancing eyebrows! We now know that brother Joshua has the most expressive eyebrows!

Everyone had a great time sharing their views, opinions and questions during discussion time

Discussion time is also a great time to go in depth and to get everyone to share their experiences

Easily my favorite part of the evening! Participants were treated to a glorious spread of scrumptious buffet dinner

Guests enjoy a session of praise and worship after dinner

The highlight of the Alpha Weekend Away was the invitation of the Holy Spirit

Pastor Thomas prays for Medalin

Beng Choo prays for Alpha guest Vivien

Francis prays for guest Joel to receive the gift of tongues

Steve and his girlfriend shares on their holy encounter after the prayer session

Pastor Thomas wraps up the day and thanks guests for their support and presence. PTL!
A big thank you for everyone who’ve helped in one way or another, and thank you church for your prayers! And thank you to guests who have persevered through the weeks, coming tirelessly week after week because of your thirst and passion to find out more about Christianity. God is good indeed!
The Alpha Course is coming to an end with ‘Does God Heal Today’ in church tomorrow and culminating with ‘What about the Church’ which will be preached by Pastor Kenny during Main Service on Sunday, 20th Sept 2009 at 10am.

This is really wonderful and thrilling – to have the Lord present to touch lives can only mean that the efforts put in by the team was God-empowered and -ordained.
