Pray for Myanmar as the latest news we are getting is that the authorities have threatened to seal off churches that continued to worship without permits. About a hundred churches in Yangon city do so in apartments, rented places, etc. My source just back from Yangon tells me he is aware of the meeting but is not sure what the reaction of the churches were. He said this is not the first time that they had gathered leaders and pastors to tell them to stop. Apparently, in the past noise and complains of Buddhist neighbours were the main reasons, but now we wonder if there could be other fears at play.
